So....we are going to be doing a garage sale next Saturday at my house to raise money for the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk we are doing in November. Does anyone have any tips/ideas for a successful garage sale? What type of items sell well? How do you decide what price to put on items? Any input would be appreciated!!! :)

I have never done a garage sale or shopped at one so I can't help you out or give you tips. Sorry!!! But I do think Michael should take a week and celebrate your birthday because you deserve it!!! I appreciate you wishing me happy birthday...you are awesome!!!!
Hi there! This is Vonda, one of Angela's friends from high school. These are my garage sale tips: 1. Advertise! in a local newspaper or community website. Make sure you check this out early as some newspapers have early publishing deadlines 2. Start very early (7am) and expect people to arrive 30 minutes before you "open". 3. Put up signs directing people to the sale. 4. You can sale ANYTHING! You would be surprised at what people will buy. 5. Sell things on the cheap. When people see that things are so cheap, they begin to just pick up stuff and pretty soon their quarters and dollars have really added up! 6. On an administrative note, have some petty cash available to make change. And maybe some of those plastic grocery bags you have stashed in the corner to make it easy for them to carry their purchases away. Hope this helps and good luck! ~Vonda
